Our Programs

Muse Dance Academy (MDA) was created out of Nico’s love for ballet and a deep desire to fill the gap in arts education by providing quality classical ballet training and mentorship to BIPOC and low-income students.
Muse Dance Academy focuses on 3 key pillars : Technical Mastery, Ballet Conditioning and Mentorship
technique : classical ballet training rooted in the Vaganova method
conditioning : strength and injury prevention through floor barre, pilates, and free weight conditioning techniques
mentorship : customized learning plans that promote artistic and personal development in a collaborative and supportive learning environment
-
By working with students 1:1, MDA offers a personalized approach to ballet that is often not available in larger class settings or accessible to dancers from underrepresented socio-economic backgrounds. MDA prioritizes building a strong, trusting relationship with each student, taking the time to understand who they are both inside and outside of the studio.
During the consultation, we learn about their unique qualities, background in ballet (or dance), and their current goals or challenges. Together, we collaborate to create a comprehensive yet flexible plan tailored to help them achieve their personal aspirations. Whether a beginner or an advanced dancer, MDA is committed to helping students build a solid foundation—not only in ballet technique but also in their self-worth.
We value student-instructor relationships built on mutual trust, recognizing that when students feel safe, seen and supported, they are more open to guidance and growth.
